Public Engagement

Martin Humphries recently travelled to Singapore where hegave a talk to top science students at Hwa Chong Institution on 15th November.  Martin then visited Hong Kong and adjudicated a students debate as part of the Science Alive programme on 16th November. This was held in the Science Museum and was sponsored by the Native English Speaking Teachers Association/South China Morning Post/British Council.

Mark Travis participated in the Royal Society MP-Scientist pairing scheme, spending a week in Westminster learning about how science policy is debated and decided, and shadowing the David Mowat MP, Conservative MP for Warrington South.

Tim Hardingham was an external PhD examiner for two PhDs, at the Institute of Nephrology, Cardiff University on 4th November and at Kennedy Institute, Imperial College on 22nd November.
