Public Programmes at the Cell-Matrix Centre

Here at the Cell-Matrix Centre, we define ‘public engagement’ as the many ways in which we communicate and discuss our research and its applications with the public. We strive to be a leading institution for public engagement and are developing a unique programme of public events to reflect the key research areas of the Centre.

There are several different strands to our public programme:

We continue to build on our well-established and popular schools programme, from Key Stage 3 workshops to A-level study days, all based on the key research themes here at the Cell-Matrix Centre.

Conscious that there is a much wider audience than school students, the Centre is developing an exciting programme of adult events working with the University of Manchester's cultural venues including Whitworth Art Gallery and the Manchester Museum.
